WIRES Mange Treatment Course

Thank you for your interest in completing WIRES Rescue and Immediate Care Course (RICC).

If you are interested in joining WIRES as a volunteer rescuer and carer you must be over 18 and live in one of WIRES branch areas in NSW, Australia.

If you reside outside NSW, Australia and want to complete WIRES Rescue and Immediate Care Course for your personal interest, professional development, or you are joining an organisation outside NSW that requires you to complete WIRES RICC, please fill in the RICC enquiry form and our training team will contact you within 2-3 working days to discuss your request.

WIRES Rescue and Immediate Care Course (RICC) course is comprised of a compulsory online component and practical workshop. Workshops are only scheduled in NSW at this time.

If you represent an organisation outside NSW that is interested in WIRES training, please provide all the details to our training team when you submit the RICC enquiry form.

If you are interested in joining WIRES, you must be over 18 and live in one of WIRES branch areas in NSW. At this time the program is not available to those residing outside of NSW.

If you represent a licensed wildlife rescue organisation outside of NSW that is interested in WIRES mange related training, please provide all the details to our training team when you complete this form..

Licensing Declaration

Information obtained within this section is used when processing WIRES authorisations to ensure compliance with the licence conditions issued by National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS).

1. Do you currently hold a valid licence/authority to rescue and care for wildlife, or are you a current member of an organisation that does similar work to WIRES (not including WIRES)? *

I also state that there are no legal, health or other reasons that would affect my performance or put at risk any other persons in my role as a volunteer with WIRES.

At their discretion WIRES reserve the right to not process or revoke WIRES authorisation. Should you answer any of the above questions untruthfully, fail to give essential notification or fail to meet WIRES requirements, your application may be refused or your authority and authorisation revoked.

Under the current Privacy Laws, we are required to seek permission before passing any personal information about you to members of WIRES and to notify you of how we use your personal information. If you are joining WIRES as a volunteer, it is essential that staff and relevant representatives of your assigned branch have your personal contact details and these are normally shared with local volunteers in your branch area. The WIRES office and your branch will also be in regular contact with you to keep you up to date on WIRES activities. We are required to share your personal information with NPWS and may also need to disclose your personal information to authorities, if required by law. We will never sell member or volunteer contact information to any external party for any purpose.
